I am reviewing the by-laws. What are your comments about deleting the requirement determing directors from specific various areas of the District? Does anyone have a copy of the District By-laws--esp. an electronic copy? Send to me. Can anyone tell me about Lions Eye Research Foundation and/or Lions Organ & Eye Bank of District 2 E-2 Trust?

I'm not sure at this time. The feeling that I have is the District has lost intrest in the LOEB. Not all mind you. I think that we need to redirect what the LOEB is and is about. To rekindel the passion towards the LOEB. I would support a change to eliminate area restrictions for directors. With the involvment with Transplant Services, and Prevent Blindness. The directors need to be able to committe to serve with these other affiliations.

At this moment, I do feel the need to attract anyone to our entity for growth purposes. I do feel that having the representation mandated is good. Therefore, I would suggest a one-year suspension of the area representation to allow growth. In essence, suspend this requirement for a year and reasses. Paul D.

Carolyn with PBT and I will try to approach Amon Carter Foundation in regards togetting a grant for another Doc at the Adult Eye Clinic. Currently Dr. Rausch is being paid for one day, and vol. for a half day. Dr. Michael white is vol one half day and another doc is vol. one half day PER MONTH. This adds up to very few days that the clinic is being utilized. If PBT gets a grant for the LOEB we will utilize the funds to pay another doc:PBT cannot funnel money for that purpose thru their acc, so the LOEB can!! As far as Tom and Pam have indicated, and Paul, I agree we need to get new members on board who want to work.As far as the dist. is concerned RE. LOEB , I think they are for us. There might be a lack of understanding regarding our total mission. I will try to clarify at cabinet meetings just what we are trying to accomplish. I am zone chair. for 13 0r 14. Grandbury, Glen Rose, Cleburne etc.
