Just curious. Looking at the Life Membership List, I have noticed that the last Membership given was 2002. I know of at leat seven given since I have been on the board.

Lion Tom, this list was passed on to me from Lion Pam. We need to do further updates. Thanks for noticing. Would anyone like to take charge of this updating???

On August 27, 2007 in the Star-Telegram obituaries:
Mary "Louise" Ballinger died Saturday, Aug. 25th.
She was the first Executive Secretary of the Eye Bank when we were at Carter Blood Center and she used to arrange for harvesting corneas with the doctors that did the transplants in Fort Worth. When I became a member of the Board, I was certified by the EBAA to be a technician and help releave the burden of getting the corneas harvested. I had to answer the pager 24/7 and would go to Carter, get a surgical package and go get the tissue in the field...
She made a significant contribution to the Eye Bank in it's foundling stage and anybody who knew her should be morning.
I wish we could do something to honor her memory.
